Description
_________________________________
Mineral Life Int’l Iron Coating is a decorative finish for actual Iron resurfacing of lime containing masonry surfaces.Iron Coating is a spreadable composition of 100% pure elemental iron which chemically bonds upon drying.
Iron Coating is more stabile than steel, does not scale or deteriorate from exposure because it is free of contamination which exist in modern steel alloys.
Uses
_________________________________
Mineral Life Int’l Iron Coating may be applied to the following vertical substrates as a decorative resurfacing finish:
1. Concrete
2. Stucco
3. CBS Block
4. Mineral Life Int’l Lime Paint
5. Materials primed with Lime Paint, such
as:
Drywall, Durock, Wood, Plastic, etc.
Advantages
__________________________________
1. Unique metallic iron surface without fabrication
2. Basic application equipment required
3. Bonds permanently to masonry surfaces
4. Stable for exterior use
Primer
__________________________
Iron Coating does not require a primer when applying directly over concrete or Lime Paint surfaces.
For other substrates such as Drywall, Wood,
Plastic, Aluminum, etc, use the appropriate
waterborne primer for the particular substrate material and then follow with two coats of Mineral Life Int’l Lime Paint. After the Lime Paint is completely dry, the Iron Coating may be applied.
Application
___________________________
Iron Coating can be applied to the vertical surface by using one or both of the following:
1. A plasterer’s trowel or flexible plastic spreader: spread the moist paste slowly in an upward motion.
2. By hand, covered with a rubber glove:
Remove iron coating with a gloved hand from container and allow to drain the excess liquid before spreading.
The Iron Coating material oxidizes and changes color upon drying leaving a stabile Iron surface.
